Unknown Talent In JFK!

Senior Music Correspondent
Aysha Hood
This just in JFK!

In the midst of our very own school we have some talented musicians. From bands to solo artists, there are voices of angels here.

Recently graduated Zhane Cox told me all about his  band, “Faithfully Falling.” They started in February of 2012 and, they like any other band have had their ups and downs, but they are now better than ever! It consists of five friends who just wanted to have fun and all ended up having special talents. Their usual on stage outfits are wearing skinny jeans and cutoff shirts, which is cool because it shows they have a different style than some other bands who wear the same thing to look “cool.”

They have taken a temporary break from live shows while they are in the studio recording their first EP.

The genre of their music is metal core, which if traced back originated from rock music. They write their own music, one of one of their songs is called “Game Of Thorns,” It is about bullying.
“I didn’t think I was good at first, I just did it to do it, then people said I was good,” was Zhane’s response to my question, “How did you know you were good at singing?” Looks like anybody can have a special hidden talent and not know about it.

You’ve heard it here, talent surrounds us everyday and we may not even know it. If you know somebody who has talent, appreciate it and remember they may one day be a global icon. Don’t forget JFK, look up Zhane’s band, like them on Facebook watch them on Youtube, and keep track of this bands’ rise to fame.

  1. I like this post alot. Many teens come into highschool musically talented but are discouraged because of the environment around them and parent influences. Talent is everywhere and its time for the indidviduals to shine no matter what others may say or the goblin we all call fear holding us back.
